commentary
also known, from the CD, as “The cherry tree E.P.” (see illustration, right) because, according to the sleeves, track 4 (on each format) was recorded “in Eddi’s garden, under the cherry tree in spring ’91”; in fact, the fourth track (Old buttermilk sky) on the 12" release seems to me from the ambience, and comparing it to track 4 on the CD (The girl with the weight of the world in her hands) to be a studio recording – what do you think?

this release was originally announced for 1991-11-18 in Music Week, with a cassette version, but was then put back by a week – with the cassette, it seems, dropped from the schedule; there was no 7" single
